It is with immense sadness and a heavy heart that we need to let you know about the passing of Andy Price, our friend and colleague. Our thoughts and prayers are with Sue and his family.
Throughout his dignified battle with the horrible disease that took him from us, he was always just Andy; full of spirit and humour, with a twinkle in his eye. He was a true gentleman and that rarest of things – a man who was liked by everyone. There were no airs and graces, he was the very definition of a ‘people person’, a superb salesman who found selling cars effortless. The training manuals may tell you how to do it but Andy was just… well, Andy. Friendly, honest, upfront. Andy was everybody’s friend.
Generous to a fault, Andy would do anything for anyone. Need furniture moved? Andy’d be there with that infectious grin, the strength of a bear, and a string of one-liners. He could fill a room with laughter but hated the spotlight, and while we’re sure he’d have been touched (and mightily embarrassed) by all the tears that have fallen since the news broke, it’s equally certain he would have dragged us all out of it with a joke.
Many of us have worked with Andy for a long, long time and our close-knit work family has lost a shining light. However much you like coming to work, it’s the people that really matter and Andy Price was someone very special.
The Big Guy’s gone, but he will never be forgotten. Andy, we’re really going to miss you.
Rest well, Mr P, rest well.
