Selling cars can be very demanding at the best of times, and it's vital that everything is explained clearly and precisely, but Sales Team Member Ian Edwards recently faced a very particular challenge - a prospective customer who couldn't speak English. Now, we often battle through this situation with a combination of pointing at the screen, the odd word of english or a friend who can help translate Wrexhamese, but in this case Ian resorted to an inventive use of technology - Google Translate. With the client at his desk and very keen on a nearly-new Insignia, Ian fired up Google Translate on his mobile, turned his PC's keyboard round and via the miracle of modern technology proceeded to have a full and very detailed conversation, with the customer typing his questions in Polish, Ian reading the translated answers, then doing the reverse on his mobile - It's without doubt the longest conversation Ian has ever had with a customer without saying a word!
Result: a sold car, and as you can see from the AutoTrader review, we have one very happy customer!
